Class Experience

*Please note that there are two levels of this class - Elementary (age 8-10, grades 3-5) & Middle (age 11-13, grades 6-8). The learning goals are similar for both levels, but the text and teaching methods are adjusted to best meet the needs of each age group.*

         In this 1 time, 45 minute class for ages 8 to 10 (grades 3-5), students learn to annotate text as they read.  Through interactive lecture, and guided prompts we explore both the "what" and "why" behind this amazing skill -...

Supplies: download and print text (provided for you), pen/pencil, colored highlighters (or colored pencils).

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

We will annotate the first section of "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" by Beatrix Potter.
