Students will learn how to use pencil sketching techniques to draw popular anime characters. They will use proper sketching, shading and blending techniques. This class will start with the fundamentals on human anatomy to construct well-proportioned human figures. Students will then use Lines of Action to draw dynamic poses. Once they master the skills of illustrating energy and movement, they will progress to learn foreshortening techniques in drawing hands, arms and legs to put "drama" into gestures and dynamic poses. Class will then proceed to combine foreshortening and high-angled perspective to illustrate movements with power and speed.

Week 1 - Intro to Human Anatomy - Basic Body Proportions
Week 2 - Intro to Line of Action, basic structure and perspective
Week 3 - Itachi - standing pose
Week 4 - Sasuke - fighting pose
Week 5 - Kakashi - kicking pose
Week 6 - Naruto - mid-air jumping pose, foreshortened hand
Week 7 - Minato - throwing pose, foreshortened hand and dagger
Week 8 - Sakura - running pose, foreshortened legs, high-angled perspective

This is a highly sought-after class for anime and manga enthusiasts who love Anime, Manga, Manga Drawing, Shoujo, Shounin, Bishoujo, Doujinshi and Kodomo Manga. Class is highly-interactive and students will have the opportunity to exchange their ideas and chat with other Anime fans.
