Has your child ever wanted to draw characters from manga or anime but wasn't sure how to go about it? Students will learn to draw a different character from the popular manga and anime shows in each lesson! We'll learn to draw anime art together while learning the basics of anime features and head portions as guidelines by drawing various anime/manga characters. This class is taught in English.
Students will learn to accept getting messy and making mistakes as a way to experiment with finding their voice. Students will learn basic drawing principles for different anime styles while being challenged with some basic to intermediate techniques. Students will learn shading, perspective, and proportion sizes through the nine principles of drawing. Students will learn how simple shapes can help to create their style and independent voice. The class can be challenging, so each student will have the opportunity to practice mindfulness during the class's practice portion.
Homework Offered
Some students will not finish, and this is totally fine. This class is more about making the most of the moment. If they choose, they can work on it after class and post it to the classroom.Assessments Offered
