Animate a Pouncing Puppy

A Multi-Day workshop that will teach your child to animate a pouncing puppy (see video). We’ll start with a good foundation of an animated ball, a headless chicken, drawing various poses, and the final project of animating a pouncing puppy.

Description

Class Experience

This is a multi-day class that meets 2x a week for 2 weeks.
We’ll delve into the exciting world of animation by discussing different techniques that Disney Animators similar to cel animation, onion-skinning, and “squash and stretch.” 

The first week will be foundational in nature. The skills and techniues used in week 1 will be necessary for week 2 which will help your student develop their animation prowess.

This class is taught in English.

Animation technique based on digital frames much like how Disney animators used cel animation in classics such as Snow White, Fantasia, and Mickey Mouse. We will incorporate traditional onion skinning, movement, and squash and stretch. Your child will have a better understanding and appreciation of this artform.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:procreate app

3 finished animations, the final project will be an awesome animation the student can save as an MP4.

2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

Students will need to have the Procreate app installed on their tablet (iPad). Registration is not required, however the app will need to be purchased on one of the app stores. This a beginner’s course and is a great way to introduce drawing and animation to your child/children. This course is a recommended course for most of my digital art classes.
