US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
Beginner Level
Young learners in this creative writing and drawing class will have an interactive discussion. Everyone in this small group will be able to share what they already know about the animal of the week. After that, the teacher will share a few facts about the animal in a Google Drive presentation. Students will use the teacher-provided writing template or lined paper to write three BEGINNER-level sentences describing things the animal-of-the week does in their daily life. A fourth sentence is likely to make everyone laugh because it will be about something the animal would NEVER do. A favorite part of the lesson is when students get to draw a picture of their animal doing something silly! This veteran kindergarten-2nd grade teacher will encourage proper grammar, capitalization, and punctuation and be available to help with spelling and ideas. During the last few minutes of class, students will be offered the opportunity to read their sentences and show everyone their illustrations. Since this is an ongoing class, each class stands on its own so you are not required to attend every week. You can start and stop your subscription to suit your schedule. She got my son to write more words than he’s ever written in his life all while he was having fun and laughing. She was very patient waiting for him to write. She also made sure to engage all the students at their own levels. We will definitely go to more classes with Ms. Judy! January 13, 2022: Lovely supportive environment for kids to write and share. My 6-year-old enjoyed it a lot! ***If you have a child ages 7-10 who loves animals, check out my Animals Around The World Art and Poetry class. https://outschool.com/classes/animals-around-the-world-art-and-poetry-writing-drawing-and-learning-geography-qbHVbPIj?sectionUid=dcf5708c-be58-484e-9344-219bf8b97dc0&usid=dNC7E9pS&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link
