Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
1) Explain what their favourite pet is and why
2) Give an example of the type of animals a small/large animal veterinarian, zoo animal veterinarian and aquatic veterinarian would treat on a daily basis
3) Appreciate that humans and animals have similar needs but that pets rely on their owners to meet their specific needs.
4) Recognize the tools used in a small animal practice are very similar to those that a human doctor would use
🐶 I am a small animal veterinarian from Nova Scotia, Canada.

🐰 From an early age, veterinary medicine was clearly my passion. While many little girls were playing with their dolls, I was providing veterinary care to my stuffed animals in my pretend veterinary hospital.

🐱 I obtained my Bachelor of Science in biology at Acadia University, my Masters of Science in bacteriology from Queen’s University, and my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary Hospital at the University of Prince Edward Island.

🐺 Since then, I have worked in many fields of veterinary medicine: private practice, emergency medicine, and even a mobile veterinary clinic.

🐴 I am now very excited to share my love for animals and veterinary medicine with the next generation. I hope to inspire, ignite and empower aspiring animal lovers and future veterinarians.
Paper Something to write with - pencil/eraser or pen Something to color with (crayons, pencil crayons, markers, etc..) Print out PDFs if needed (will be provided before each class)
