Rainforests can be found on almost every continent around the world and hold so much biodiversity within them in both plants and animals. From the venomous gaboon viper to the adorable sugar glider, these creatures are ready to blow you away with their adaptations! Two rainforest animals take the spotlight in each of these weekly, fact-filled lessons. The animals will include a variety of invertebrates, mammals, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and birds. Once the weekly list of animals has been exhausted, we will start back from the top of the cycle. *Each class is independent from each other. Therefore, students can drop in at any time. If a student comes in during the middle of a session, it's no problem! The sessions will eventually repeat and they can continue through the loop until they are back to the first class they took. This class will be more of a lecture style (yet interactive) class with a PowerPoint, photos, videos, and fascinating facts. We will have conversations about these creatures and students are encouraged to ask questions and discuss (although are also welcome to just absorb the information if they prefer). At the end of each class, we will play a short trivia game about what we’ve learned. Participation in the game is optional and students are welcome to watch or answer privately. Being an avid traveler and having worked with many MANY animals, I will also be using personal experiences within the content when I can!
