In this one time class, your child will learn about Eastern cottontail rabbits that live in the Great Smoky Mountains. I hike in these mountains frequently, and I have seen these rabbits a lot while hiking. Using a slide show, I will present facts about the rabbits such as their diet, habitat, and lifecycle. The kids and I will engage through class discussion. After the class discussion, the kids and I will complete an activity. ****Art supplies are needed for this class. Please see supply list*****

I live near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and hike there frequently. I have also taught science to elementary, middle school and high school students as a public school teacher, a private instructor with my local homeschool organization, and as a leader with 4-H. I currently hold a teacher's certification in the state of Texas. I have been teaching on Outschool since 2020, and I have met so many great kids!
