Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 3
In this 7 week multi-day class, we will be exploring the animals of the 7 continents. Each week, students will explore 6-8 animals from a different continent. Each animal will be presented along with a vibrant picture, as well as information about its physical characteristics, diet, and habitat. Students will be encouraged to participate in discussions and ask/answer questions throughout the class. This will be followed by the game of the week where I will describe an animal from the lesson and the students must figure out which one it is. Each class will end with a craft of the week, where we will create one of the animals learned about that day.

Students do not need to have any prior knowledge on geography or animals in order to participate in this class.

Here is the breakdown of the weeks:

Week 1: Europe
Craft: Wolf Mixed Media

Week 2: Asia
