Attention Animal Lovers! This class will focus on animals who call Hawaii home, both in the sea and on land: Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle Hawksbill Sea Turtle Gecko Hawaiian Monk Seal Humpback Whale Manta Ray Bottlenose Dolphin Hawaiian Spinner Dolphin Hawaiian Reef Triggerfish Tiger Shark We will touch on habitat, diet, lifespan, and many other interesting characteristics of each of these Hawaiian natives! This class will be presented via powerpoint presentation and is mostly lectured based, although students will have several opportunities to ask or answer questions. Students will get to meet the animals through photos and a few video clips disbursed throughout the class presentation - - I have found that this keeps them interested and engaged throughout our class time together!
