In this on-going class we will study a new animal each week. We will learn what the particular animal eats, where they live, and what makes them so special.

Each week there will be a new animal to study. The student will learn about that animals habitat, where they live in the world, what special features they have, and what their diet consists of. There will be animals such as: sloths, crabs, the blue-footed booby, Galápagos tortoise, and so many more. At the end of class there will either be a simple, step by step drawing of the animal or a coloring sheet. There will be a powerpoint full of real pictures and some video clips to really catch the students attention. This is the perfect class for all the little animal lovers out there!
Learning Goals
Students will learn about so many different animals and how each and everyone of them have different habitats, diets, and physical features.

Supply List
Coloring pages will be provided weekly if they are needed. Always bring white paper, a pencil, eraser, and colored pencils or crayons.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

This teaching opportunity will give me the chance to share my passion for nature and why science is so much fun! I enjoy teaching children about animals and bugs. It's what I loved when I was a kid and my children have a growing love for learning the world around them. A fun little fact about me, I have twin boys and a little girl who I am homeschooling for the second year now. My kids are my driving force to teach and the reason why I continue to learn more everyday.
I have a Bachelors Degree of Science and have 5 years of field work experience under my belt. Once I had my twin boys in 2016 I decided I wanted to stay home to raise my children. So I started teaching online in 2017 as an ESL teacher (teaching English to children in China).
I am eager to share my knowledge about nature and the beautiful world outside our doors! As a teacher, I believe all students deserve to feel valued and respected in class. I am committed to making sure the students are having fun as they learn about the world around us!
