Animals and Pets-Which One Should I Get?: PreK Learning With Ms. Liz

We'll read stories like "The Perfect Pet" and "Some Pets", meet animal friends learners bring to class (stuffies too), share animal/pet care ideas, and engage in fun number, letter and sorting skill activities with animal/pet themes.

Description

Class Experience

Students will listen to stories and ask and answer questions throughout the readings, practice taking turns talking, listening and sharing observations about which animals make good pets. We will also work on sorting and classifying objects (wild animals versus animals as pets) which can help learners begin to notice how items are alike and different, and creates an awareness that is helpful for math learning.
 2 files available upon enrollment
Please print out the 2 part (4 pages in total) printable provided for enrolled learners, pets/wildanimalsort1 and pet/wildanimalsort2. Please cut apart the 20 animals pictures in the pet/wildanimalsort1 pdf before class so your learner will be ready to sort the animals once class begins.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Because of the age of the class I recommend a grown up be within "ear-shot" to help with any technical hiccups (mic and video) that might come up.
