Description
Class Experience
Seatbelts, everyone! In this class, we will take a safari journey and learn about both animals and parts of speech. This is a one-time class covering nouns and elephants! This class will focus on a play-based learning experience. Please dress for the event, and bring your favorite animals with you. I recommend a hat, binoculars, water, sunscreen, and a map! Learners will explore the topic through use of printable worksheets, activities, crafts, and printable flashcards that can be printed...
This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their understanding of nouns (describes a person, place, thing, or idea). They will also learn 10 facts about elephants and complete fun worksheets. They will have fun in a play-based learning experience.
I have been a librarian for over a decade. In this time, I have worked with students of all ages (college to elementary) on their reading, organization, and grammar skills. I have been with VIPKid, an online ESL teaching program, for 3 years. I have been with Magic Ears, another ESL teaching program, for 6 months. In this time, I have learned to elicit total physical response while engaging young learners, teaching curriculum based on learning English as a second language. I have worked in both one-on-one and four-on-one virtual settings. I am comfortable with all ages and larger groups of children.
There will be no homework, but there will be activities included that your child can complete after class. Learners will also be completing some provided worksheets as a group during class. Flashcards to practice the parts of speech will also be included.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I am available for contact to discuss learner progress.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
