In this one-time course, we will pretend to go on safari! We will learn elephant facts while identifying nouns.
Class experience
Seatbelts, everyone! In this class, we will take a safari journey and learn about both animals and parts of speech. This is a one-time class covering nouns and elephants! This class will focus on a play-based learning experience. Please dress for the event, and bring your favorite animals with you. I recommend a hat, binoculars, water, sunscreen, and a map! This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their understanding of nouns (describes a person, place, thing, or idea). They will also learn 10 facts about elephants and complete fun worksheets. They will have fun in a play-based learning experience.
I have been a librarian for over a decade. In this time, I have worked with students of all ages (college to elementary) on their reading, organization, and grammar skills. I have been with VIPKid, an online ESL teaching program, for 3 years. I have been with Magic Ears, another ESL teaching program, for 6 months. In this time, I have learned to elicit total physical response while engaging young learners, teaching curriculum based on learning English as a second language. I have worked in both one-on-one and four-on-one virtual settings. I am comfortable with all ages and larger groups of children.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
