US Grade 2 - 5
Let's travel the World together and learn about ecosystems! This class meets twice a week and provides a relaxing atmosphere for learning, as the learners help decide how club time is spent. In the first part of class, learners will complete notebook pages on characteristics of ecosystems or another topic of the day. They will help decide which ecosystem to learn more about. The second half of class is devoted to drawing, learners take turns choosing which animal to draw. Together we will go through a video tutorial, guiding their drawings. I am always amazed at how unique each learner's drawings are and the unique touches they add to make their art their own. As we continue to draw together you will see them develop their skills further! After class pictures of their drawings are posted in the classroom for all to enjoy, it is their club art gallery! In club, learners develop teamwork and cooperation, and positive interactions with peers are encouraged. They develop speaking skills as they share their artwork and encourage one another.
