Hello and welcome to All About Animals a FLEX Class! In this 10 week course, your learner will gain so much information about various animals around the world. Animals featured will range from sea creatures like the incredible manta ray to the elephants of the African savanna. Each week will feature a different animal. What will each week look like? MONDAYS: On Mondays, I will release a video introducing the animal with some great information! This video will be a walk through of a slideshow. I will release the slideshow to you so you have access to the information as well. Students will also receive a coloring sheet with a few fill in the blanks to complete. This coloring sheet can be handed in, but it is not a must! If you do hand it in, I will give my feedback. WEDNESDAYS: On Wednesdays, we will do WILD FACT WEDNESDAYS! Learners can look back at the slideshow of information about the animal and look at the links of fun, fascinating videos to watch or websites to read! I will also start a thread with one wild fact. Each student is encouraged to list their own wild fact as a comment in the post! FRIDAYS: We will end each week with a small quiz about the animal that was featured. I will post the quiz and students will have until Sunday night 8:00pm EST to finish. Students will then submit the quiz back to me and I will correct it. Some extra features may include: comparing and contrasting different animals we have focused on, Google Earth "field trip" to see the animal in the wild, animal songs and dances, short stories about our animals, and some optional animal themed crafts! This class is geared to be educational but also focus on making learning about these incredible creatures really fun. I will be open to questions and respond well within the 12 hour timeframe given. Week 1: African elephant Week 2: Flying fox Week 3: Red panda Week 4: Tiger shark Week 5: King penguin Week 6: Moose Week 7: Silverback gorilla Week 8: Grizzly bear Week 9: Manta ray Week 10: Snow leopard
