Description
Class Experience
Students will learn about the physical characteristics and biology of snakes, habitats and ecology, and conservation in the wild. As well as, why they are so important to our ecosystems and why we should not be fearful of these beautiful creatures.
A piece of paper and writing utensil can be brought in order to take notes if desired but is not necessary.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be talking about snakes in this class, as well as there will be a live guest. Please be aware if your learner has a fear of snakes (Ophidiophobia) or is sensitive to this subject. The main goal of this class is to present to the learner that snakes like most animals are just trying to live their every day lives and don't act in malice but defense. Education on the topic can be a great start to understanding these beautiful creatures as well as working to not be fearful of them.
