US Grade 3 - 6
This is a class all about crocodilians (alligators, caimans, crocodiles, and gharials)! Participants will primarily learn about these remarkable reptiles including basic knowledge and information regarding biology, ecology, and habitats. We will be diving into many different kinds of crocs from across the globe. There will be plenty of facts provided on this group of organisms as well as their characteristics, adaptations, and what makes them so special! We will work on broad (all...
Students will learn about the physical characteristics and biology of crocodilians, habitats and ecology, and conservation in the wild. As well as why they are so important to our ecosystems and why we should not be fearful of these beautiful creatures.
A piece of paper and writing utensil can be brought in order to take notes if desired but is not necessary.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will be talking about crocodilians in this class. Please be aware if your learner has a fear of crocodilians or is sensitive to this subject. The main goal of this class is to present to the learner that crocodilians, like most animals, are just trying to live their every day lives and don't act in malice but defense or survival. Education on the topic can be a great start to understanding these beautiful creatures as well as working to not be fearful of them.
