Young learners will discover ocean animals and habitats in Spanish speaking countries and from throughout the world! The first week of class learners will listen to a read aloud in Spanish about an ocean animal-related book and learn how to say sardines, octopus, tuna, shark, and whale in Spanish. They will also learn some fun facts in English about these animals with a video from a certified scuba diver, Sr. Charles, who will share his footage of his dives around the world through the length of this course. Inquisitive learners will be encouraged to ask questions or tell facts they know, in either English or Spanish. Based on student interest, learners will research and learn about a specific ocean animal and create a Google Slideshow or PowerPoint presentation.

In my spare time, I also teach comparative romance languages to youth groups and faith-based organizations.
My hobbies include studying world languages, traveling, collecting foreign currency and authentic masks. My character strengths are love of learning and honesty and I cherish spending time with my family.
I believe that families can reinforce what students learn inside the classroom, whether face to face or online, which can contribute to student success as a learner and 21st century leader.
I am excited for your learners to enroll in one of my class offerings.
Best,
