Class Experience

Join our exciting and interactive class, where we explore new and interesting facts about different animals each week through a fun game of Kahoot Trivia. Our class will start with a brief warm-up where students can share something if they wish. Then, students will receive a Kahoot pin to enter, and we'll begin our trivia game. Questions will range in difficulty and include multiple choice and true or false options. Strong reading skills aren't required, as I'll read the options aloud during class time. Each question will have a one-minute time limit, and the game is purely for enjoyment – no prizes will be awarded.
During the class, students will learn fascinating facts about various animals, such as their average lifespan, gestation period, dietary habits, social behaviors, and more. We'll start with a specific animal each week, and if we finish the first Kahoot early, we will move on to another animal. Students are always welcome to suggest new animals, and if I can gather enough information, it will be added to our schedule.

Theme Schedule for class:
2/5-2/11: Klipspringer
2/12-2/18: Week Off
2/19-2/25: Gopher

Students will need to be able to access Kahoot prior to class. If you feel like your student may need help doing this, I recommend being available to help them do so. You can access it by going to the browser and typing in Kahoot.it or downloading the kahoot app. A pin will be given during class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, my name is Brianne. I am so excited to be teaching on the Outschool platform, and even more excited to meet your learner! I have a 120-hour TESOL certificate, which allows me to teach English as a secondary language. I also homeschool my own two children. Many of my classes are focused on strengthening social skills by learning to be patient, listening to others, taking turns, following directions, using manners, and being respectful all while having fun! I hope to see your learner soon!
