Class Experience

In this fun, hands-on class we will learn all about spiders!

Class will open with a brief show and tell, so students are encouraged to bring a spider themed toy, book, or outfit to class. Then, we will discuss any personal experience we may have: Have you ever seen one in your yard? Have you seen a spider web or cob web before? What do you already know about spiders? We will then learn some exciting facts through photos, video, and discussion.

Then the fun really begins! We will apply our early engineering skills to create a spider that climbs up and down its web using its "silk". Please see the suggested supply list so that your learner can fully participate in the activity.
