Class experience
This is a class about animal law and animal rights. We will look at laws, statutes, common law, and culture including resistance groups. We will look at the USA and a few other places which have a very different - sometimes better and sometimes worse relationship with other species. I have a law degree from Lewis and Clark, took both introductory and advanced animal law classes, have made award-winning films on the environment and animal law and animal rights topics. I am engaged in nature-based learning with my own 3 children, an approach which holds all species relevant.
Pen & paper, copy of case printed out (will be uploaded week of class).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will avoid or edit any cases that are in my opinion too intense/graphic for youngsters.
