Description
Class Experience
In this flex course, students will learn to show their learning by creating a PowerPoint presentation on an animal of their choice. Students will work at their own pace and log in to receive their updates and learning. This is a flex class with no live sessions. However, each class will have a video from the teacher, a required group discussion (video and written via Outschool classroom), and activities from the teacher. Students will learn research and note-taking skills. Students will learn PowerPoint basics. Students will learn presentation skills. Studens will learn active listening skils
Students will have to work between videos. In the videos, they will be taught the skills and then between videos, they will do the work of researching. After class 1- find 2 credible articles and 1 credible video, have notes on one of the articles After class 2- notes complete on other video and article, post a message to the group After class 3- put your information into the PowerPoint After class 4- practice and record your PowerPoint, respond to other projects
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and no time outside of class.
Students will be recording video and using PowerPoint, parents are suggested to watch the videos before students post.
