Class Experience

I am a small animal veterinarian from Nova Scotia, Canada with experience in private practice, emergency medicine, and even a mobile veterinary clinic.

I obtained my Bachelor of Science in biology at Acadia University, my Masters of Science in bacteriology from Queen’s University, and my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary Hospital at the University of Prince Edward Island.

I have completed the coursework for my ADHD Coaching Certification and in addition to being an ADHD, Aspergers, and Executive Functions Coach (self-employed), I have designed workshops and training to meet the needs of diverse learning styles and abilities and presented these to hockey associations as well as to educators and teaching assistants in the English and French school systems. I was recently hired in October 2021 as the online ADHD Instructor in the Faculty of Continuing Education at Ashton College.

Since becoming an ADHD Coach with 3 children diagnosed with ADHD and having one child with significant emotional control issues growing up, I have dedicated a significant amount of time to researching and learning about ADHD, emotions, parenting, mindfulness practices, strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and depression, etc…
