Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 6
In this one-time class, students will explore English idioms or idiomatic expressions about animals. Prior to class, students will be given a PDF and notesheet to take notes and answer questions throughout class. Students will be asked to participate by reading from a Google slide presentation while taking notes at home! We will talk about 12 idioms that are commonly used in English such as "cat got your tongue" and "open a can of worms". Students will learn what situations would apply to...
- Students will be able to identify and describe 12 animal-themed idiomatic expressions in English.
Assessment
Frequency: includedDetails: Students will be informally assessed through a Kahoot.
Students will be sent a 2 page PDF to take notes and answer 2 sets of multiple choice questions during class (optional).
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
No accounts or sign-ins are required. I will be sharing my screen for the Google slide show. **Students will be given a direct link to the kahoot game (they can enter it into a browser, click a link or scan the QR code with a tablet) but they will not need to sign in or have an account to play!
