In this class we will discuss animal habitats (homes) and the various adaptations that animals possess that help them to survive. Where an animal lives decides how they are specifically adapted to their habitat or environment. Students will meet a real animal that lives in the desert, the rainforest and in urban areas of the world. We will also discuss the continents and habitats of different continents. Students will learn how animal adaptations help them to survive in the places they live...
Students will learn to identify the needs of an animal in specific habitats and identify special adaptations when looking at an animal.
Please have your child learn the definition of habitat and adaptation before class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
