Does your child love animals? Do they love hearing stories? If so, Animal Friends Story Time and Early Learning would be a wonderful match for your preschool child. This ongoing class for preschool kids will offer story time, animal study, and an early learning concept each week. Your kids will be delighted to hear carefully selected and engaging stories read to them, learn a few facts and see images of the animal of the week, and wrap up the session with an early learning lesson on topics such as letter sounds, counting and patterning or shapes and colors. Week 1: Bear Week 2: Whale Week 3: Owl Week 4: Seahorse Week 5: Elephant Week 6: Monkey Week 7: Sloth Week 8: Penguin Week 9: Octopus The class will start with a greeting and asking students to show their stuffed animal friend that they may have brought along. Next, several carefully selected picture books will be read to the students in an engaging manner. An animal study follows with students learning a few facts and seeing images of the animal of the week. Afterwards, an early learning lesson geared toward preschoolers will be presented learning. Lessons will focus on letter identification and sounds or counting and patterning or shapes and colors. We will close our class by saying our goodbyes to everyone. This class will engage students and will allow them to ask and answer questions. Some slides will be shown for animal study and early learning lessons. This is an ongoing class so there is no need to have learned material from prior classes before joining a new one. Learning Goals
Student will build literacy skills by listening to books read out loud, learning letter identification and sounds, and will also learn other early learning concepts such as shapes, colors, numbers and counting as well as patterns.
