Animal Farts! Close Reading Strategies Using Engaging Text (Non-Fiction)

During this class, students will learn how to read closely using the engaging article "Animal Flatulence: Scientists Use Twitter to Pass on Information." We will first discuss what it means to complete a close read of the text. I will read the entire text aloud with learners while displaying each chunk for them to follow along with me.
