In this 6-week flex novel study, students will read Animal Farm by George Orwell by examining the novel's allegory of the Soviet Union while discussing the novel's characters, symbols, and other literary elements with writing and projects.

     - Differentiate Between the Pigs vs. Other Animals of the Farm
     - Explain the Character Development and Changes
     - Identify Changes on the Farm and Misconceptions
     - Define and Explain the Allegory
     - Investigate the Overall Theme, Symbolism, and Allegory

Homework Offered
Students will be asked to read the novel and complete the writing outside of class time as this is a flexible course. Students will have access to the work 30 days after the course ends and I am happy to provide feedback and/or grades (if requested) on anything that the student completes! We will also work through: 1. Essay Writing 2. Paragraph Writing for Each Chapter 3. Annotation Guides for Analysis (Optional)
