Class Experience

During this class students will learn a variety of facts about blue whales by reading and discussing an age-appropriate non-fiction book. We will also read an engaging fictional book, The Whales’ Song, by Dyan Sheldon. We will then check out a couple of short video clips to see the behaviors we’ve read about in action! Students also have the option to work on a whale coloring sheet during the class (not required—link attached in supply list).

Students will have the opportunity to engage with the teacher and other students throughout the class. Sharing of prior whale-based knowledge with the group is highly encouraged!
