Oh no! All these animals are lost and need to find their way to a new home, and we must solve puzzles, answer questions, and learn about animals in order to get back home. In this fun class, students will work through an escape room individually with assistance from myself and from one another. The students will learn about cheetahs, sloths, dogs, cats, pigs, and more. At the beginning of class, I will have an icebreaker and everyone can introduce themselves. Then, I will send a link via the Zoom chat, which contains the Google Forms escape room. Each student will be able to work at their own pace and ask questions as needed. Students can help one another to solve puzzles. Puzzles included are in the form of crossword, virtual jigsaw, word scramble, cryptogram, memory matching games, and more! Don't worry--if some puzzles are too difficult, I will be here to guide students. Assistance from parents may also be helpful. Eventually, we will help all the animals find their way back home! Students should have basic typing skills, reading skills, and spelling skills or parent assistance if they are not proficient in these areas. They should also be able to navigate between links and web pages or receive parent support. Of course, I am here to help every step of the way! Students can interact throughout the escape room experience as much as they like. If time allows, students can share more fun facts about animals that they are knowledgeable about, draw pictures of their favorite animals, or we can play an animal guessing game. Looking forward to looking at adorable animals, learning about animals, and finding them homes together! Age can be flexible with parent support and/or proficient manipulation of links and webpages along with spelling, typing, and reading skills--just let me know! Alternatively, students can look off of my computer screen for the escape room and I can send some links for activities.

Welcome! If you are looking for a friendly, kind, patient, and interactive teacher for your children, you have come to the right place. I'm so excited you are here! I am looking forward to engaging with your children and teaching digital art.
I have been a school psychologist in various school settings since 2013. As a school psychologist, I evaluate cognitive, academic, social/emotional and behavioral strengths and needs of children in order to help them learn. So, I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent students. I graduated from Temple University with an Educational Specialist Degree (Masters+45 Credits) in School Psychology, and I attended Penn State University for my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a Business focus. While in college, I took numerous art education courses. I have led various social/emotional groups for children in schools, and I have also taught art and drama classes at a summer camp. I am passionate about working with children and families. I am creative and art has been a hobby of mine growing up. I have experience with numerous art mediums, and I have worked with preschool through twelfth grade students. I believe in the power of using art to gain social-emotional skills.
I value getting to know all students I work with, learning names, and ensuring that all students are happy and engaged. I believe all students can learn, and I am very inclusive and loving towards all students I work with.
I have an eleven-year-old lab/terrier mix pup who I love, and she may make a personal introduction during our sessions! I enjoy exploring countries and learning about different cultures; I have been to Israel, Greece, Canada, and Mexico, and I lived in Michigan before moving to Pennsylvania. Can't wait to work with you and your children!
Please message me about any classes you are interested in and we can find a time to do them. I go back to my full time job after Labor Day but would love to provide classes after 5pm EST or on the weekends! I will also have some scheduled on the weekends! Looking forward to hearing from you!
I do not want cost to be a barrier to taking any of my classes if you are interested in them, so please reach out and we can arrange an affordable cost. =)
I was honored to be featured on Outschool's 2021 "E.P.I.C." blog as a "Passion Driven Educator". I am also an ACE educator on Outschool as I completed various professional development workshops to further my knowledge about working with diverse learners.
