How to Draw Animals- Beginner Drawing Class- Learn to Be a Wildlife Artist

Hello to fans of all kinds of amazing animals! In this ongoing drawing class, beginner artists will learn to draw wild animals in step-by-step drawing lessons. We start our class by sharing interesting facts about our animal of the week in a friendly and fun classroom.

I introduce our drawing lesson with a quick pencil sketch to demonstrate the shapes of each unique animal. I use a second camera to allow students to see and follow my step-by-step drawing. We gradually add details with our coloured pencils while learning different drawing skills, such as shading, line weighting, patterning and cross-hatch. 

I pause and chat through the class to keep a suitable pace for everyone. The students are welcome to have a show and tell with their artwork if they wish to do so. I always celebrate and encourage the accomplishments of each wildlife artist in my class!

Students are welcome to join any week that interests them or stay with us for every week to develop drawing skills. Below is a list of our ongoing topics:
