Class Experience
Students will learn to negotiate with others to trade for items needed.
Nintendo Switch, a copy of Animal Crossing New Horizons, and a Switch online account are all necessary to play. I will provide a list of in game objects that will make gameplay more fun.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Animal Crossing New Horizons is a child-friendly game with no violence or romantic themes, but I recommend all parents and guardians preview the game if they have not played before to make sure it aligns with family values. My island will be open only to children enrolled in this class during class time. Although the Turkey Day event in Animal Crossings New Horizons is based on the American holiday of Thanksgiving, and launched on that date, it has very little to do with the real world celebration. There are no historical or religious references involved. The event involves gathering resources and trading with others to receive the ingredients you are unable to find on your own. I am including a link to a description of the event to help you decide if it aligns with your family. https://www.polygon.com/animal-crossing-new-horizons-switch-acnh-guide/21719484/turkey-day-event-recipes-secret-ingredients-diy-recipes
