Club Description:
Welcome to our Southern Hemisphere Animal Crossing Club, an exciting social space for fans of the popular Nintendo game! Our club is unique as our island is located in the Southern Hemisphere, offering you a different seasonal experience compared to Northern Hemisphere islands, as the seasons are flipped. Whether you're a seasoned mayor or a newcomer, join us to share fun experiences, learn new strategies, and make friends in the Animal Crossing community.

Club Activities are based on learners' interests and will be chosen at the beginning of class each week. This class focuses on friendly competitions to help all players become "Bell-ionaires." If you are looking for help with building a bridge, paying off a home loan or expanding your storage, this is the club for you. If there is a special item, DIY or materials needed for a special project, you can request them for next week's class. Consider this a safe treasure island, just for kids.

Special Events coincide with holidays such as May Day, Thanksgiving, Toy Day, Festivale, Zipper T Bunny and summer fireworks. Some things we may be doing each week include the following:

1. Southern Hemisphere Fishing and Bug Catching Competitions
- Friendly competitions with fellow club members where everyone wins bells
- Have fun while learning the best strategies for catching fish. LOTS of fish bait will always be available as we find the times of day best suited to catching even the rarest of fish. We can decide ahead of time if we would like to change the time of day in order to try catching these elusive species.

2. Custom Design Workshops
- Create and share your custom designs
- Participate in friendly design challenges and fashion shows to win lots of bells
- DIY recipe cards and materials for crafting and cooking challenges to win lots of bells

3. Special Event Celebrations
- Celebrate birthdays, holidays, and game events
- Share your in-game achievements and milestones

4. Game Nights
- Participate in fun mini-games
- Enjoy social interaction in a virtual space

5. Visit learner's islands
-Players may host tours of their islands, mini games as well as celebrations on their island, if they want to.

6. Visit dream addresses to try your hand at mazes, such as the incredibly difficult to solve Nano Maze! This involves playing on the island separately while viewing my screen or sharing a player's screen to help each other solve the maze.

In Animal Crossing New Horizons, the game's events and the availability of certain species of fish and bugs change depending on whether your island is in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere. This provides an interesting variety in gameplay, as certain species will only be available in certain seasons depending on your hemisphere.

Join us to explore the unique facets of a Southern Hemisphere island in Animal Crossing and develop lasting friendships with fellow gamers. This is an ongoing Gaming Club. Learners are welcome to join at any time.

I've been playing Animal Crossing New Horizons since it came out. This is my second island, located in the Southern Hemisphere. I have spent many hours working on my island, villager hunting, breeding flowers and creating close friendships with my villagers. Most of them have been with me since I started my island. I have lots of experiences to share. Be sure to ask me about Ed and the glasses with the mustache!
