Description
Class Experience
In this multi day camp, students will practice spelling and reading sight words using the Animal Crossing-theme. There are interactive tasks through Nearpod in conjunection with Outschool where they will practice sight words for 2nd graders (from the Dolch & Fry sight word lists). At the beginning of class, each student will be given the opportunity to share their favorite Animal Crossing character and what they love about the game, if they chose. It is always my goal to create a fun and welcoming environment where all students feel comfortable as they practice their sight word recognition with the support of each other. This is a great refresher for those going into 2nd grade and also a great class to introduce 1st grade sight words for those going into 1st grade.
30 minutes each week to work on the learning boom cards after each class.
Learners will only use Nearpod in addition to the standard Outschool tools.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses Nearpod & Learning Boom Cards.
