Animal Crossing New Horizons for the Switch has so many fun things to do. There's the basics, like fishing, catching bugs, and fossil hunting, but there is also more fun when you play with friends! In this ongoing class, we will take turns visiting islands to see how each student has chosen to decorate their island and which neighbors are on each island. Students can shop at the islands they visit and play games like "Tag" on the island while visiting. Students will NOT need to share their gamer code. They can simply use the randomized "Dodo Code" from within the game. Students will typically visit only one island per week. Class format: ⭐ Rules of the class ⭐ Vote on the island to visit ⭐ All students will head to Dodo Airlines and visit the chosen island All levels are welcome. To take part in this class, students MUST have ALL the following: ⭐Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo Switch OLED ⭐Animal Crossing New Horizons ⭐Nintendo Switch Online Membership - copy and paste this link if you do not have it: https://ec.nintendo.com/US/en/membership

Teacher expertise and credentials
Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Bachelor's Degree in Education from Westminster College
Hi! My name is Lauren, but my students call me "Best Teach". I graduated from Westminster College in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I earned my Pennsylvania English as a Second Language Program Specialist K-12 certification. I moved to Shenandoah, Virginia to teach English as a Second Language in 2006. I taught over 40 students (K-12) at 4 different schools. In 2007, I moved to the traditional first grade classroom.
Since then, I have taught in many different capacities. I have taught baby sign language to parents, online for two years as an English as a Second Language teacher, and as a homeschool tutor. My most valuable teaching experience has come as a homeschool mom. I have been teaching my neurodivergent 15 year old son and neurotypical 12 year old daughter since the day they were born.
I bring a variety of classes to Outschool, because I like to pull from all of my interests and talents.
