Class Experience

Welcome to my Animal Crossing weekly gaming club! This is a social club where learners are able to discuss the game with peers and safely explore each other's islands. The great thing about this game is that you can always discover new things daily but you can discover even more with friends! Learners will be able to showcase their creativity and progress by allowing other students to visit their island. Students can also find things on other islands that they may not have on their own. Learners can also trade and give each other tips while playing. This is a social club and learners will be promoted to talk about the game with each other.

Students will need a Nintendo Switch, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and a Nintendo Online Membership to participate. Without the online membership students can discuss their island but they will not be able to have visitors or be able to visit another player's island.
We will meet weekly to discuss progress and new findings. This is a social course and students are encouraged to share their knowledge of the game. I look forward to seeing everyone’s islands and watching you progress!
The weekly schedule is as follows:
June 17-Week 1: Go to the airport and visit another island. We will also have a fishing tournament!
June 24-Week 2 :Go to the airport and visit another island. We will also have a bug catching contest!
June 31-Week 3 :Go to the airport and visit another island. We will compare shop items and prices.
July 6-Week 4 :Go to the airport and visit another island. Discuss Critterpedia (bug, fish, and sea creature collections)

To visit another island you will need to go to the airport on your island. You then will tell the Dodo that you would like to visit someone by saying "I wanna fly!" and visit another island through online. You will need to get a Dodo code to visit the island. We will share our Dodo codes during class time! Note: Dodo codes change daily so you will have a new Dodo code each day

To open your island you will need to go to the airport on your island. You then will tell the Dodo that you would like visitors and your gates will be opened. You will get a Dodo code to share with others.

Students will be playing online with others using Nintendo Online.

If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to message me directly.
