In this one time class, fellow ACNH fans will scour my character’s island in search of wrapped Spooky Day items, Spooky Day DIY recipes and Spooky Day resources. All gifts intended to be found will be wrapped for easy identification and whatever is found, the students may keep. Additionally, any non-Spooky Day items dropped on the island such as furniture, resources, clothing, etc that are needed to increase their own island’s rating may also be taken. Before class, I will provide a dodo code. Students must know how to use the dodo code or have a parent present to help. Upon entering the classroom, students may begin searching for wrapped items. In addition to the hidden items, students will be given bells as well as may look through the DIY recipes and clothes, gather fruit and flowers, and may trade any items with other students or myself. This class will not be cancelled for low enrollments. The treasure hunt will still be possible even with only one student. . The treasures will include Spooky Day items, DIY recipes, Spooky Day specific resources, Spooky Day candy, Spooky Day costumes other non-related but valuable items. NOTE: A Nintendo online subscription and the Animal Crossing New Horizons game are both needed to participate in this class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
As a facilitator of several popular video game groups, I have enjoyed watching friendships blossom among the like-minded players. Some gamers are attracted to playing video games because they lack a real connection with most of their peers and the pandemic has been particularly isolating to these kids without connections. Other kids enjoy playing and talking about their favorite games to anyone with ears. Like my own son who is on the spectrum, kids who play video games often disconnect from the world around them. I have found that uniting kids with similar video game interests builds confidence and valuable social skills while making meaningful connections with the world around them.
