In this one-time class, learners will create their own animal species based on what it eats and where it lives.
Class experience
In this class, learners will create their very own animal. Learners will learn about various animal diets and habitats. They will then learn about the adaptations that are required to survive on these particular diets and in these environments. They will then design a species based on the diet and environment they choose. After they create their species they will share it with the class and the class will work together to figure out what that animal might eat and where that animal might live....
Learners will be introduced to the topic of animal adaptations. We will discuss how certain adaptations help animals get food and how other adaptations help animals to survive in different and unique biomes.
Over five years experience working and teaching in the zoological field. Holds a Bachelor's of science biology degree.
Learners will only need some blank paper and a drawing utensil such as pens, crayons, markers, or colored pencils.
