Description

Class Experience

After class, kids will be able to understand what makes mammals unique in the animal kingdom, how to identify a mammal, and have increasingly organized (and scientific) thoughts about animals. 

These goals link with Next Generation Science Core standards 3-LS3-1, 3-LS4-1, 3-LS4-2, 3-LS4-3, 4-LS1-1; practices 1 (asking questions), 6 (constructing explanations), and 8 (obtaining, evaluating, and communicating information); and Cross-Cutting concepts 1 (patterns) and 6 (structure & function).
