Animal Club for Littles: How to Classify an Animal
What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this ongoing class, each week there will be a new animal group being taught. This will be a 5 week class including animal groups such as: mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and amphibians. We will talk about where these animals live (habitats), what they eat, and special features they may have. There will be a powerpoint for every lesson packed with awesome pictures and video clips for the students to see. It's important to me to engage all students during each lesson! I make sure everyone gets their turn to talk, either by answering questions or sharing things they have already learned to the other students. Some lessons will have handouts to print, so check the classroom tab each week to see what supplies will be needed. No prior knowledge is necessary for this class. Weeks will include: Week 1- Reptiles Week 2- Amphibians Week 3- Mammals Week 4- Birds Week 5- Fish Restart If your student enjoys learning about animals I have an ongoing class that would be perfect after completing these 5 weeks. Your student can move into "Animals Around the World" where we learn a new animal each week from different places all over the world!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello parents and students!
This teaching opportunity will give me the chance to share my passion for nature and why science is so much fun! I enjoy teaching children about animals and bugs. It's what I loved when I was a kid and my children have a growing love for learning the world around them. A fun little fact about me, I have twin boys and a little girl who I am homeschooling for the second year now. My kids are my driving force to teach and the reason why I continue to learn more everyday.
I have a Bachelors Degree of Science and have 5 years of field work experience under my belt. Once I had my twin boys in 2016 I decided I wanted to stay home to raise my children. So I started teaching online in 2017 as an ESL teacher (teaching English to children in China).
I am eager to share my knowledge about nature and the beautiful world outside our doors! As a teacher, I believe all students deserve to feel valued and respected in class. I am committed to making sure the students are having fun as they learn about the world around us! And I work hard to know every students learning style and adjust my teaching to meet your child's needs.
