Description
Class Experience
Learners will study the subject of animal classification, gaining a knowledge of how animals are grouped. Students will look at mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, fish and invertebrates and see how animals are classified into further, smaller groups down to species level. Students will learn how to use simple classification keys to identify which groups our real, live animals belong to.
A worksheet will be set after each session. It is up to the parent/carer if they would like the child to complete the worksheets, it is not compulsory, but each worksheet will recap the session it follows.
No materials necessary.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
