US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
In this class, students are engaged through interactive learning throughout class. The class will define 'wildlife', and sort between 'domesticated', and 'wild' animals. They will be playing animal charades, and learn what animals are domesticated and wild. This class encourages critical thinking, as some animals may fall under both categories. This class also encourages kindness because each student will have a turn to do their animal, and listen to their peer when it is another student's turn. The teacher will make a list of all the animals used by the students during charade. Towards the end of class, the teacher will ask the students to complete a Venn diagram and categorize the animals from class. With this knowledge, the students are taught what animals make good pets, and what animals can survive in the wild without any intervention from a caretaker. In this class, students are able to touch on subject areas such as Science, Expressive Arts, and Environmental Education. **Please be assured that class will occur even with only 1 student enrolled.
