In this three lesson course we will learn about some very cool apex predators of the world! Through a slide presentation with vibrant photos, short reading passages, video clips, and some great discussions we will learn what an apex predator is and why they are so awesome! We will look at animals such as the polar bear, great white shark, jaguar, and lion. We will look at the habitat, diet and characteristics of each animal presented. Students will learn what an apex predator is. They will look at different habitats around the world and learn what role apex predators play in specific habitats. Students will answer questions and take part in discussions throughout the course.
Note taking is recommended so that students will be able to discuss information from each lesson leading into class. Share what you have learned with your parents!
The learner will be informally assessed based upon participation in discussions, contribution to conversation and given answers to culminating questions.
