In this one-time drawing course, students will learn how to sketch a realistic full-body portrait of a tortoise. What will students learn? 1. Students will learn techniques for sketching a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of a tortoise. 2. 1 file available upon enrollmentEQUIRED FOR STUDENTS: -Paper (Preferably drawing paper, but if you do not have this, regular paper is fine.) -Pencil -Eraser (new, everyday pencil top erasers work best) -Pencil sharpener -A printed or electronic copy of the tortoise reference photo available upon enrollment (found in the welcome post) -Blending tool (We will practice blending skills a lot in this class. If you do not have blending stumps, please bring a tissue and/or a Q-Tip. If you are unable to get these supplies, students are fine to use their fingers to blend.) WHAT THE TEACHER WILL BE USING (OPTIONAL): -Drawing paper OR Sketchbook (You can purchase a sketchbook for around $10 on Amazon. Please, no bigger than 9 x 12 inches.) -Wooden pencil -Pencil sharpener -Kneaded eraser (You can purchase a kneaded eraser for around $5 on Amazon.) -Regular everyday eraser -Drawing pencils (You can purchase drawing pencils for around $10 on Amazon.) -Blending stumps (You can purchase blending stumps for around $5 on Amazon.) OPTIONAL: -White gel pen
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
