In this one-time drawing course, advanced students will learn how to sketch a realistic portrait of a horse (head to chest). What will students learn? 1. Students will learn techniques for sketching a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of a horse. 2. Homework Offered
If students do not finish their horse drawings in class, I encourage them to finish outside of class.Assessments Offered

2 files available upon enrollmentREQUIRED FOR STUDENTS: -Paper (Preferably drawing paper, but if you do not have this, regular paper is fine.) -Pencil -Regular everyday eraser -Pencil sharpener -A printed or electronic copy of the horse reference photo available upon enrollment (found in the welcome post) -Blending tool (We will practice blending skills a lot in this class. If you do not have blending stumps, please bring a tissue and/or a Q-Tip. If you are unable to get these supplies, students are fine to use their fingers to blend.) WHAT THE TEACHER WILL BE USING (OPTIONAL): -Drawing paper OR Sketchbook (You can purchase a sketchbook for around $10 on Amazon. Please, no bigger than 9 x 12 inches.) -Wooden pencil -Pencil sharpener -Kneaded eraser (You can purchase a kneaded eraser for around $5 on Amazon.) -Regular everyday eraser -Drawing pencils (You can purchase drawing pencils for around $10 on Amazon.) -Blending stumps (You can purchase blending stumps for around $5 on Amazon.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
