Description

Class Experience

1. Students will learn techniques for sketching a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of a wolf (full body). 
2. Students will learn techniques for smooth blending, pencil application, gradient blending, and adding contrast.
3. Students will learn techniques for drawing realistic fur texture using a toothpick and eraser.
4. Students will learn techniques to ground the wolf (make it look like it is not floating), using pencil.
5. Students will learn a few facts about wolves.
Because of how detailed these drawings are, there is a good chance students will need to finish sketches outside of the designated class time.
 1 file available upon enrollment
-Paper -Everyday pencil or drawing pencils -Everyday eraser and/or kneaded eraser -Toothpick -Blending tool (blending stumps, tissue, Q-tips, or you can just use your fingers if you don't have any of the previously listed supplies)
Students will be assessed throughout class and at the end of class through questions and/or sharing of drawings.
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please be aware that this course uses materials that may be harmful to your student if used inappropriately.  If you think your student may use any class materials inappropriately and/or potentially cause harm, please provide adult supervision for your student.
