Prepare to be inspired by the incredible structures and creations found in the animal world. In this class, we will explore some of the natural world's most incredible animal architects. We will learn about the insects, fish, birds and mammals that create these impressive natural structures and why their creations are important for their local ecosystems. Some of the animal builders are well-known, like the beaver, while others may be animals you may have never heard of, like the impressive...
This class is taught in English.
-Students will learn about 8 distinctive species that create impressive structures and shelters -Students will learn about the importance of ecosystem engineers and their contribution to the local environment
-Container (large enough to make the beaver dam and that you can fill with water) -Clay (air dry, modelling clay, plasticine, etc. - any of the following will work well!) -Rocks, sticks, and other natural materials -Water -Table cloth (to protect your floor or table!)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
