Class experience
Get cozy in your jammies and come explore nocturnal animals in this night time adventure! We will start class by talking about when we go to bed and making connections about night time through conversations. We will then define the word ‘nocturnal’ and talk about nocturnal animals. The animals we will focus on are owls, bats, raccoons, red foxes, and opossums. Students will learn about nocturnal animals through a visual presentation with discussions along the way. Students will learn the definition of ‘nocturnal.’ They will also learn facts about nocturnal animals.
My nocturnal animals unit was one of my favorites when teaching kindergarten. Excited to be teaching about these amazing creatures on this platform.
Their will be a sharing time at the end of class. Students are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal/picture of a nocturnal animal to share if they wish.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
