Surviving in the wild is no easy feat. From predators lurking in the shadows to extreme temperatures to extended food shortages, animals have adapted to survive some of the harshest and most challenging ecosystems in the world. In this five-day camp all about animal adaptations, we will learn how and why animals have developed some of the most incredible (and unusual) physical characteristics and behaviors. Students will understand how and why animals adapt to their particular ecosystem. Students will identify common adaptations (camouflage, venom, hibernation, etc.) that animals use to survive. Students will feel empowered to conserve the natural world and understand how they can make a difference.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
