Welcome to Animal Acrostics! This is a class where we will learn about and practice Acrostic Poems. We will be writing about animals. You can pick any animals you want to write your poems about. Class Structure: * Greeting and Introductions - about 5 minutes * Acrostic Mini-Lesson - About 5-10 minutes What is an Acrostic Poem? How do you find the right words? * "I do. We do. Assessment
Frequency: includedDetails: *Informal assessment available by request - based on learner participation.* *Formal assessment available by request. - based on learner participation and finished work. Learners must turn in poems for a formal assessment.*
Paper or notebook pen/pencil colored pencils, markers, etc (optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Single Learner Classes: - Single learner classes will go ahead as scheduled unless learner and family request otherwise. - If the lesson ends early, learners will have writing time at the end of class.
